Tithes on The Philippine Arena

The owner of the Philippine Arena in the eyes of the law is Iglesia Ni Cristo (New Era University). The founder of the Iglesia ni Cristo is Felix Y. Manalo who was succeeded by his son, EraƱo G. Manalo, who, in turn, was succeeded by Felix's grandson, Eduardo V. Manalo.

This project by the Iglesia ni Cristo cost US$213,000,000 or Php 9,400,000,000, money that was gradually collected from individual members' tithes, monthly offerings and yearly thanksgiving contributions. Unfortunately, despite the fact that this project could not have been successful, let alone realized, without the financial help of the members, no single centavo will redound to their benefit, it being the case that only those at the highest ranking positions, the Manalos, will benefit from its fruits.

We remember that Super Juniors and Girls' Generation had a concert in the Philippine Arena. Ticket prices for said concert ranged from P9,500 for VIP, P8,000 for Lower Box A, P6,500 for Lower Box B, P4,000 for Upper Box A, P2,500 for Upper Box B, and P950 for General Admission. Not only that, the Best of Best in the Philippines KPOP concert on April 12 and Katy Perry The Prismatic World Tour on May 7, 2015 will also be conducted in the same arena.

At this point, it must be noted that it is completely impossible that the Philippine Arena received no fee for said events. The question now is this: Who will benefit from these fruits?

It is also worth taking note that there are many less fortunate Iglesia ni Cristo chapels all over the Philippines and even abroad. The following link show a pitiful condition of one of these congregations: http://www.splendorofthechurch.com.ph/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/5.jpg. Why not spend the Php 9,400,000,000 on chapels instead?
